Ateneo de San Pablo’s Batch ’73 gears up for 50th anniversary celebration

Ateneo de San Pablo (AdSP) Batch '73 is set to reunite and celebrate not just their golden anniversary but also the camaraderie and the Atenean spirit they have nurtured over the years on December 1-3, 2023.
Beyond a simple gathering, the graduates aspire to deliver a lasting legacy in the heart of San Pableños, emphasizing the challenge set by their alma mater to become outstanding citizens who have a deep- rooted passion to help their community. AdSP alumnus Justice Pablito Perez said, “Our gathering goes beyond reminiscing about old friendships and bonds. We pay homage to our city and school that nurtured us and provided us better life opportunities.”
Legacy Projects and Activities
Even before, the graduates of Ateneo de San Pablo, through the Brother James Dunne Scholarship Association (BJDSA) advocated for education. They are offering scholarships to deserving yet financially- challenged students. Today, they provide scholarships to 27 students to pursue their dreams at the Academia de San Ignacio de Loyola. Emphasizing the importance of access to quality education, AdSP alumnus Dr. Jaime Aristotle B. Alip said, “We recognize the power of education. It is a tool that allows the dreams of our youth to soar high,
unlocking the endless potentials and opening countless opportunities. Also, our desire is for our scholars to continue the legacy we have started to the forthcoming generation.” As part of the reunion's series of events, Batch '73 is hosting a community health day to provide San Pableños free medical and consultations. A farmer’s market will also be held in Sampaloc Lake to support local microentrepreneurs in the city. Furthermore, the batch aims to preserve their history, stories, and deep-rooted Atenean culture. In realizing this dream, the batch is happy to announce that they will unveil their AdSP Batch Marker and
the memorabilia room which will be located at the original site of Ateneo de San Pablo, now known as Liceo de San Pablo on the same day of the reunion. They will also publish a legacy book to immortalize their core values and experiences that will serve as inspiration for the youth. Through these activities and initiatives, the batch ensures that their legacy continues to thrive. For Ateneo de San Pablo Batch ‘73 who wishes to take part in the said activities, the organizers of the event may be contacted at 09279105209 and/or cardfounder@cardmri.com.
